This film was produced by the U.S. War Department and is basically an anti-Japanese propaganda film. The film's main focus is on the introduction of the history and the customs of the Japanese and their feelings towards the U.S. The film spends a great deal of effort dissecting ancient Japanese customs with the modern aspects of Japan. The result of which portrays the Japanese as somewhat odd people with some overtones of normality. The film begins by discussing the Japanese army; focusing on their diet for one thing. Directed by Frank Capra; this film was never used to prepare U.S. soldiers for war as it was intended for. 1945. B/W. 61 minutes.
